Yesterday, I received an email, asking how the project was going and I was rightly reminded of the fact that I hadn't posted an update in a while now. Oops!
So here I am, with an update of course.
It's been quite busy behind the scenes. The photoshoots have now well and truly kicked off, and I have been photographing in Glasgow City Centre, Loch Lomond and Loch Ard so far.
Our next shoot date will be on the 28th May in Edinburgh.
So far, all the dog models have been simply outstanding, and I honestly cannot wait to share the end result with you all. I'm so excited, but I know I will have to keep things under wraps a bit longer so everyone can be well and truly surprised when the book becomes available.
I am in the midst of editing the pictures and getting all the dogs' stories written up. And it is lovely to see everything coming together.
I honestly can't believe that there's only 4 more photoshoot days to go, before that part of the project wraps up. We have Edinburgh, Culross, Glencoe and Linn of Dee still to come.
The last shoot date will be the 12th August, and after that, I will be working flat out with my graphic designer Christina on the layout of the book, and finalizing the details. Once that part is done, we will be able to go to the printers and get some test copies printed.
One of the most frequently asked questions is on when the book will come out. This will probably be around the beginning of November (if all goes well, keeping the above in mind). I don't have a set date in the calendar just yet, but once I do, I will let everyone know of course.
Speaking about the launch date, I've also been brainstorming on a potential book launch party/event. Again, not quite sure about the how, the what and the where, but as soon as there are more concrete plans, you will be the first to learn about them.
Further to that, there will be upcoming articles in the media about the project - I will post more info as soon as these are published as well.
